holy canoli!

bazow!  tonight was supposed to be filled with music and laughing and love… the mood was set, the characters ready, the lighting mooded up… and the projector SHUT OFF on it’s own twice during the night… the videos were wacky twice during the night… and… golly left and right, up and down… lemme tell ya…

running audio and visual ANYWHERE is tough… one lil thing goes wrong and you might have to grow extra white hair for the next few weeks… for those tiny seconds of panic and stress, your start a new trend… white on top, black on the bottom… *glare* im serious!

ptL for the wonderful testimonies and the beautiful pictures that were shown during the night… wa-hoo for the vbs-ers and all those who did their best to teach youngin’s the ways of the Christian life… bravo to the singers and the dancers of the night… and all glory to God for all things that have happened…

now, we’ve just got to train up lil johnny n tiffys so that a/v would be smooth and running throughout the rest of the years… and to those who are interested, please contact andy, the youth service assistant pastor… (he always scolds me for using that title, but honestly, what else could i call him and not make him sound scary? am i rite? am i rite?)  right… so jump on it!

hehe… lemme just say… three minutes into the praise nite… i felt as if i had taken a cold shower without any preparation… 13 minutes into the praise nite… i felt ready for anything and sadly… heh… i wasnt… (those darn mac programs!!! golly! my comp is old compared to the ones that… o no… jealousy… whao there!) and 30 minutes into the praise nite i felt as if five years had been cut off my life… yes.  it’s that stressful… just a warning… for those who may not know what really goes on and how it is…

but rest assured… johnny n i shall teach you to mold and master the craft of working as a team on audio and visual… i mean golly… both are sooo extensive… i mean… visual covers lighting, coloring, decorations, spotlighting, lighting console, ol’ Betsy (the computer… she’s our good and faithful friend… moo), media shout, power point presentations, making sure the clips work, making sure the recording is recorded, dvd, and misc. stuff, not to mention the flow of everything, the inevitable 2 second delay (bless your soul, Betsy) and audio is just EVERYTHING ELSE that is tangible in the sanctuary… so it’s A LOT of stuff!!!  heh yea… makes ya thankful for us workin in the background, eh?

o joyous… so tomorrow… 9-12 worship practice, 12-2 workin on sam, 2-5 norton simon museum, 5-7 return home sometime, 7+ movie with gospel friends… i think i might die… but ish ok… just more white hairs and bags under my eyes…

honestly… if you’re signing up to do visuals or audio… be it for your glory, you will recieve none… all glory goes to our God… you get no glory for what you do… you are merely in the back… making sure everything runs… you are invisible to everyone… you receive no personal thanks or etc. because you’re not doing it for the personal thanks… =) and that’s just the way it is.

but I, another invisible, thank you for your efforts and efficiency.  if that’s not enough, then perhaps, you need to set your eyes on God and really get straight with Him.

okay… my vision is blurred now… im goin to bed… long day today… and a long tomorrow awaits me… wahoo!
